These Bitcoin and crypto ETFs are some of the best.
Financial instruments are one of the easiest ways for investors to gain insight into a topic or asset class. One of the difficulties of introducing Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies in the early years of crypto was figuring out where and how to buy them. However, cryptocurrency ETFs are as easy to buy Bitcoin as they are to buy popular securities. There are a handful of ETFs dealing with cryptocurrency, and that number continues to grow. Here are seven of the best cryptocurrency ETFs available for Bitcoin or other cryptos.
ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (number: BITO)
The ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF is a game changer for cryptocurrency investors. The BITO ETF made history in October when it became the first cryptocurrency allowed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to trade on a large U.S. stock market. Vigilant Bitcoin investors are waiting for the green light from U.S. regulators to find their interest with the BITO fund. Prior to buying Bitcoin itself, the BITO portfolio is subject to various futures contracts. The BITO ETF has about $ 800 million in assets under management, or AUM, and a daily trading volume of 6.6 million shares.
Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BTF)
Just days after BITO funds began trading on the New York Stock Exchange, the Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF was established on Nasdaq. Like the BITO fund, the BTF fund does not directly invest in Bitcoin. But it will be held in the first month of the upcoming Chicago Mercantile Exchange Bitcoin. Valkyrie already provides credentials for other popular cryptocurrencies in global markets, and hopes to re -launch cryptocurrency ETFs listed in the U.S. in the future. The BTF ETF is much smaller than the BITO ETF. The AUM of the fund is $ 26 million, and its daily turnover is about 254,000.
Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC)
Prior to the launch of the BITO ETF, the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust was the best Bitcoin investment option for most investors. The GBTC stock is more reliable than an ETF, but Grayscale is currently switching to an ETF, which may be able to transition from a stock exchange to a listed stock in a major US exchange. GBTC’s trust is $ 19.3 billion in AUM and an average market capitalization of 4.4 million shares. Unlike other Bitcoin ETFs, the GBTC fund is held in real cryptocurrency, and each share currently has 0.0009235 Bitcoins.
VanEck Bitcoin Strategy ETF (XBTF)
The VanEck Bitcoin Strategy ETF is VanEck’s official Bitcoin futures fund. The XBTF fund was launched in November 2021 following the introduction of the BTF and BITO funds and was split in two ways. First, the XBTF fund has a much lower interest rate than the other two currencies, at only 0.65%. In addition, it is set up as a C-corp rather than a registry office, giving the treasury certain tax credits. C-corps are not required to share revenues for long periods of time. The AUM of the fund is $ 23.6 million, and its daily turnover is about 28,500. Both numbers are on the lower side for ETFs.
Invest in US Equity PLUS GBTC ETF (SPBC)
The Simplify US Equity PLUS GBTC ETF was launched in May 2021 and provides a unique way for investors to gain unique insight into Bitcoin and the S&P 500. The fund offers 100% visibility into US equities through the introduction of ETFs and futures contracts. More than 83% of its stake is in the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV), one of the most popular S&P 500 ETFs. In addition, SPBC is planning an additional 10% allocation to the GBTC fund. It earns $ 100.5 million in AUM and an average of 3,700 shares per day.
Valkyrie Balance Sheet Opportunities ETF (VBB)
The Valkyrie Balance Sheet Opportunities ETF does not directly invest in Bitcoin. Instead, it gives inaccurate information to cryptocurrencies by including companies that hold Bitcoin in their wallets or receive money from Bitcoin transactions. VBB’s portfolio is $ 650.5 million in AUM and the average daily trading volume is 1,200 shares. Higher stocks related to Tesla Inc. (TSLA), Microstrategy Inc. (MSTR) and Block Inc. (SQ), which accounts for one -third of the grant.
Blockchain & Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITS)
The Blockchain & Bitcoin Strategy ETF is the second Global X -related blockchain ETF, released in November 2021. The BITS fund allows investors to see both contracts and trades seen in blockchain technology. The funds stored in the BITS database include cryptocurrency mining companies, companies involved in digital asset trading, and companies with blockchain applications and software services. The BITS fund invests about 50% of its holdings in CME Bitcoin contracts and 50% in the Global X Blockchain ETF (BKCH). BITS has a portfolio of $ 9.8 million in AUM and 11,400 shares per day.
